His opposition to slavery and child labour brought him into contact with Willliam Wilberforce (who became a close friend) and other abolitionists. Autograph, with signature. This note is written on a blank portion at the end of the third page of the printed pamphlet. The date stamp, frank, seal and address are on the fourth (back) page.
