System of ArrangementSub-series one comprises scripts by Martin Miller for radio and/or theatre written before 1945.
Sub-series two comprises all other scripts and production notes for the theatre, whether before or after 1945, except those by Martin Miller. Note, however, that it has not been possible to establish who wrote the compère scripts in this sub-series, and some of them may have been written by Martin Miller. Also note that there are no records of scripts for theatre written by Martin Miller after 1945.
Sub-series three comprises all scripts and production notes for the radio other than those written by Martin Miller before 1945. Although it may have been preferable in some ways to arrange all Martin's scripts together in one series, the identity of many of the authors of the radio scripts is uncertain, so authorship would have been poor a criterion for determining the series. By contrast, it has in most cases been possible to assign a date to the radio scripts, so it appeared that this was a better means of arranging them.
Sub-series four and five comprise papers relating to the television and film work of Martin Miller and Hannah Norbert Miller respectively.
