Scope and ContentThis is a typescript of the lyrics to the song of the brave soldier Schwejk, followed by a handwritten muscial score. The song may have been written for the Laterndl's fourth show, "Der unsterbliche Schwejk", which premièred in March 1940. The show's writers were Hugo Friedrich Königsgarten, Rudolf Spitz, Franz Bönsch und Albert Fuchs, but it is not known which of them wrote this particular song. The show was based on the anti-military satirical novel by Jaroslav Hašek. Martin Miller directed the production and also played the role of Schwejk.
